What do all those abbreviations mean? I am a Diplomate in Acupuncture, accredited by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, having passed all the board exams for acupuncture. I am certified by the State of Wisconsin to practice acupuncture, and have received a combined Master of Science of Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (magna cum laude) from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.
In addition, I am a licensed massage therapist and am nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork to practice massage as a graduate of the Wisconsin Institute of Natural Wellness.
This means I have the knowledge of how to treat patients with acupuncture but what is more important is that I have administered over 17,000 treatments since opening my private practice in 2006. See the testimonial page from satisfied patients to know that I have the hands-on experience to assist you in dealing with your issues.
Whatever brought you to my website, know that in Chinese Medicine, we treat the entire individual, not just your presenting complaint. Daily life brings multiple stresses to bear on whatever ails you and we can generally bring about change not only to your neck, back, shoulder or digestive system (and everything else) but also improve those things not directly related that impact your situation.
I practice 'community style acupuncture'. What that means is that instead of receiving your treatment in an isolated room, you are sitting in a recliner in a living room-like setting, fully clothed, listening to soft music and looking outdoors.
It also means that my acupuncture treatment is affordable for everyone, with charges ranging from $20-50 per treatment (plus an initial visit $10 fee) and YOU choose how much to pay in that range. Acupuncture works best when received frequently, so to quickly resolve your presenting complaint, you need to be able to afford to do that.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
